Privacy notice
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This notice explains what happens to the details you share with me through this website. It's written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If anything is unclear, email me and I'll explain.
Who I am
This website is run by Liah Kamai, trading as KAMAI, a design studio based in Israel. I'm the controller of your personal data. Contact: liah.kamai98@gmail.com.
What I collect, and why
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, email, WhatsApp number (if you add it), website link and anything you write in the enquiry form, plus your answers to the three short questions | To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote | Steps you asked for before a possible contract, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| Messages you send me on WhatsApp or by email | To reply and to work on your project | The same as above |
| Anonymous usage statistics (pages viewed, rough location, device type), only if you click Accept on the cookie bar | To understand which parts of the site are useful | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
Name and email are required in the form, or a WhatsApp number if you'd like a WhatsApp reply, because I can't answer you without them. Everything else is optional. I never use your details for marketing, and I never sell them.
Who else handles your data
- Netlify (USA) hosts this website and receives the form.
- Telegram carries a notification of each new enquiry to my phone, and my internal studio system stores the enquiry so I can follow it up.
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept analytics cookies.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and Gmail (Google), if you choose to message or email me.
Some of these providers are outside the UK. Israel is recognised by the UK as providing adequate data protection, and transfers to the USA rely on the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses offered by each provider.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into a project are deleted within 12 months. If we work together, project correspondence is kept for as long as the law requires for business and tax records.
Cookies
The site only stores what it needs to work: your cookie choice, and a note that you've already sent the form, so it doesn't send twice. Both live in your own browser. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept. You can change your mind at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive a copy of it. Just email me. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
